2.0 Ton Excavator

Built to Work. Engineered to Last.

Serious Capability. Able to access Tight Spaces.

The Big Sur 2.0-Ton Mini Excavator brings professional digging capability to places where larger machines struggle to fit. Its retractable undercarriage narrows to approximately 39 inches for access through tight openings, then expands to 51.2 inches for a wider working stance. Combine that with true zero-tail swing, a side-swing boom, and a 4,409-pound operating weight, and you have a compact machine built to do meaningful work in confined spaces.

For contractors, landscapers, farmers and property owners, this is a machine designed to reach the job—and get it done.

Narrow When You Need Access. Wider When You Need a Stance.

Retract the tracks to approximately 39 inches to move through narrow gates and between obstacles. Once in the work area, extend the undercarriage to 51.2 inches. This flexibility opens up projects in backyards, along foundations, around established landscaping, and on other sites where access dictates the equipment you can use.

True Zero-Tail Swing and a Side-Swing Boom

Work close to walls, fences, and other obstacles with a zero-tail-swing upper structure. The side-swing boom adds flexibility when digging alongside foundations or trenching near a property line, reducing the need to reposition the entire machine.

The result is more productive use of a small work area, with precise placement of the bucket where the job requires it.

Digging Power That Earns Its Place on the Job

With approximately 3,597 pounds of bucket digging force and 2,136 pounds of arm digging force, the Big Sur 2.0-Ton is built for trenching, drainage, landscaping, and general excavation. Its working range includes a maximum digging depth of 7 feet 5 inches and a maximum digging radius of 12 feet 10 inches.

Compact dimensions make it easier to reach the site. Capable hydraulics help it perform once it gets there.

Proven Diesel Engine Options

Choose a configuration powered by a Kubota D902 or Yanmar 3TNV74 diesel engine. The supplier lists a rated output of 11.8 kW (approximately 16 horsepower). These established engine families bring dependable diesel power to a machine sized for tight-access work.

The final engine specification should be confirmed for the machine you select.

Smooth, Precise Hydraulic Control

A load-sensing hydraulic system and hydraulic pilot joystick controls give the operator responsive control for digging, grading, and careful work around existing structures. The supplier lists 17.0 GPM of rated working hydraulic flow for the machine's hydraulic system.

Automatic Two-Speed Travel

Two travel speeds—approximately 1.37 and 2.67 MPH—let the operator move deliberately in a confined area or travel more quickly across the job site. The travel motor automatically adjusts speed to changing conditions, helping the machine maintain controlled movement across uneven terrain.

Protection Built Into the Boom

The boom cylinder is mounted above the arm, where it is less exposed during excavation. Concealed hydraulic hose routing on the boom and travel systems helps protect vulnerable components from contact with site obstacles.

A high-strength cast-steel side-swing bracket adds strength at a heavily used structural point. The supplier also specifies a corrosion-resistant engineered-plastic fuel tank.

Ready for More Than a Bucket

Auxiliary hydraulic piping supports a range of compatible attachments, allowing the excavator to take on more than ordinary digging. Depending on the selected configuration, available equipment can include a hydraulic breaker, auger, thumb, specialty buckets, and quick-coupler or hydraulic quick-hitch options.

Dig trenches. Drill holes. Break material. Handle debris. Match the machine to the work with the right attachment.

Designed Around the Operator

The open safety canopy offers a clear view of the bucket, tracks, and surrounding work area. Hydraulic pilot controls put precise machine response at the operator's fingertips. The compact layout keeps the excavator maneuverable without giving up the working range needed for real projects.

Choose the Tracks for Your Terrain

Rubber tracks, steel tracks, and steel tracks with rubber pads are listed as available configurations, allowing the machine to be matched to the surface and application. Its listed 4.21 PSI ground pressure helps limit ground disturbance on suitable surfaces; the right track choice depends on the terrain and the work being done.
